Galliani Travels To Spain To Finalise Deal For Espanyol Defender Didac Vila

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has flown to Barcelona to finalise a deal for Espanyol defender Didac Vila, according to calciomercato.

Earlier in the day Galliani had confirmed the club's search for a left-back was continuing, after reported moves for Genoa's Domenico Criscito and Sampdoria's Reto Ziegler hit road blocks.

Vila, 22, has featured for Spain at the Under-19 and Under-20 levels and has made 13 appearances for Espanyol this season.

Milan have been busy in the winter transfer market already in their bid reinforce the squad for the Serie A and Champions League challenges, signing Antonio Cassano, Mark van Bommel, and Urby Emanuelson.
