Milan prepare £9.2m bid for Ajax wonderkid Christian Eriksen
According to Algemeen Dagblad, Serie A table toppers AC Milan are considering making a move for highly rated Ajax youngster Christian Eriksen.
The 18-year-old joined Ajax from Odense in 2008 and made his official league debut for the Amsterdam side in January 2010. He has since developed into a key player and his good performances haven't gone unnoticed elsewhere.
Eriksen was previously linked with Arsenal, but AC Milan now appear to be sitting in pole position to lure the Denmark international away from his current club.
AC Milan have yet to officially approach Ajax, but the report suggests that they are ready to make an €11 million (£9.2m) offer for Eriksen.
The attacking midfielder's current contract with Ajax runs until the summer of 2014 and the Dutch giants appear reluctant to let go of Eriksen this winter. However, it remains to be seen whether they can afford to turn down a big money offer from one of Europe's top clubs.
