AC Milan approach Real Madrid for Benzema

AC Milan are eying Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.

Sport says despite Milan want to take Benzema to Italy this summer, despite the failure of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar this season.

Real are willing to sell Benzema - for the same €35 million they paid Lyon for the France international - but so far only Milan have come forward.

Milan are keen, but will not go close to meeting Real's current asking price.
