Ronaldinho Returns To Training Following Injury Scare
New AC Milan acquisition Kevin-Prince Boateng has outlined his ambitions for the upcoming season after completing a loan move from Genoa.
The Ghanaian international midfielder addressed the Rossoneri tifosi for the first time in Milan colors and his message was clear when asked about the bitter rivalry with city neighbors and the reigning Serie A champions.
“I’m not afraid of Inter. If everybody here gives 100 per cent, we can win all three competitions,” Gazetta dello Sport quoted him saying in a press conference.
The 23-year-old then spoke about the competition that will be present in the Milan squad as he prepares to fight for a first team spot.
“I can play in all positions in midfield, left and right, and this will help me break into the team, although I know that there are great champions here and it won’t be easy to find space,” he acknowledged.
“I feel 100% AC Milan and I have to prove that I can play at this level. The competition doesn’t scare me, but I will work hard and I will learn from [Andrea] Pirlo, [Clarence] Seedorf and [Gennaro] Gattuso.
Finally, Boateng expressed his delight to have made the move to Milan.
“This is a big step in my career. I have to thank God and my family and now it is time for me to give back to those who believed in me. It is a dream come true. My team-mates, the staff, the coach have all welcomed me like family.
"I've never seen a sports center like Milanello.”
