Huntelaar Open To Schalke Move After Zlatan Ibrahimovic's Arrival
Milan's want-away striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has admitted that he is now willing to join German Bundesliga club Schalke after the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Barcelona.
The Rossoneri had long insisted that the Dutch international hitman was on the market this summer but the 'Hunter' had until now maintained that he wanted to remain in Milan.
However, now that Ibrahimovic has joined the Rossoneri, Huntelaar believes that he will not get much playing time and has admitted defeat in his stance to carry on playing for the Diavoli.
'It is true that I did not want to leave Milan," said Huntelaar, according to Goal.com Netherlands. "That changed when Zlatan Ibrahimovic came from Barcelona.
"Then I realised that for me it is better to go. It is important that I get to play football.
"I see Schalke as a very nice club, they often battle for the title. For me it is a great challenge to go to this club."
