Man City in whooping €40m bid for Silva

MANCHESTER CITY are ready to put the money on the table.

City Boss Roberto Mancini wants a better defender alongside Kolo Toure and according to reports in Spain he’s ready to offer €40 million to Milan for the services of Thiago Silva.

Silva has been a long-term target of Real Madrid but after The Blancos bought Ricardo Carvalho from Chelsea yesterday, they are no longer interested in him, and now Manchester City are keen on him.

AC Milan released a statement last week that declared the 25-year-old unsellable but it is very hard to refuse such an offer.

Milan have a long history with Manchester City, as in January 2008, they tried to buy Kaka for over £100 million but eventually the Rossoneri said no.
