Thiago Silva And Flamini Out For Over A Month With Injuries
Milan will have to re-evaluate their midfield and defence setup, as they learned that Thiango Silva and Mathieu Flamini will face at least a month on the sidelines after sustaining injuries in yesterday's match against Ajax.
Ac Milan confirmed that Thiago Silva will be heading back to Brazil in the next few days to undergo more tests.
An official club statement read :
"Milan doctor Gianluca Melegati communicates Thiago Silva had a scan which showed a lesion to the medial posterior meniscus of the right knee. The player will head to Rio de Janeiro for a consultant with professor Jose Luiz Runzo - the Brazil team medic.
"Flamini underwent a scan also and it showed a lesion to his medial ligament in his right knee. The prognosis is three to four weeks."
