AC Milan Midfielder David Beckham Rues Missed Chances Against Manchester United
AC Milan caused Manchester United all kinds of trouble in Tuesday's Champions League match, but the Italians were eventually beaten 3-2 following 15 weak minutes in the second half.
England international David Beckham was part of the starting XI for Milan against his beloved Manchester United. The midfielder made it clear that he enjoyed playing against United, but rued his side's missed chances.
"The atmosphere was fantastic and it was great to go up against my old team. I played at Manchester for many years, and it was emotional to face them," Beckham was quoted as saying by reporters.
"However, I play for Milan now and I came here to win, even if the Red Devils remain in my heart.
"We started the match well and should have scored another goal. When you play against teams such as United, you need to capitalize on your chances or the match becomes very difficult.
"[Clarence] Seedorf's goal re-opened the match and tie for us. We have everything still to play for in the return leg. We believe we can do it," he concluded.
