Milan Striker Marco Borriello In Line For Bari Return

Marco Borriello has handed AC Milan an injury boost after being declared fit for Sunday’s Serie A clash away to Bari, according to ANSA news agency.

The 27-year-old missed last weekend’s league win over Udinese and Tuesday’s 3-2 defeat to Manchester United in the last 16 of the Champions League after injuring the tendon in the rectus abdominis muscle.

“I’ll be back on Sunday,” he said yesterday. “It’s unusual for footballers to have this kind of problem, but it happened to me…”

The Rossoneri medical staff have given Borriello the green light yesterday to resume full training with the rest of the squad and the former Genoa man is expected to partner Brazilian Alexandre Pato and Ronaldinho up front in Apulia.
