Silva Believes Milan Can Overcome Manchester United
Milan defender Thiago Silva has faith in his side's ability to overcome a one-goal deficit at Old Trafford during the second leg of their Champions League match against Manchester United.
The Red Devils were able to walk away with a 3-2 victory at the San Siro, extending their unbreaten away record to 16 matches.
"We need to believe that it is not over. A team that shoots on goal five times and scores on three of those occasions is beatable," the Brazilian optimistically affirmed to Sportal. "We could have scored more goals in the first half, but football can sometimes do this to you.
"Our aim is to turn around this situation during the return leg. We will go to Old Trafford with a positive frame of mind, as the team knows it can play better than Manchester United."
Silva is also pleased to have gotten through the full 90 minutes, after returning from an adductor strain.
"To be able to make it back onto the pitch after my injury was an important thing for me. I worked hard Saturday and Sunday, both morning and afternoon," the 25-year-old revealed.
"I feel tired after the match, and I also have some cramping in my leg. The main thing is that I feel no pain in my adductor muscle."
