Milan Rake In Over €60 Million From Fly Emirates Sponsoship Deal
Milan are set to receive over €60 million in sponsorship equity as part of their deal with Fly Emirates, reports Il Giorno.
Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, head of the company, will meet president Silvio Berlusconi in Milan on Wednesday and his company are expected to guarantee the Rossoneri €15m per annum plus bonuses related to their success in Serie A and the Champions League.
Compared to their previous sponsors, Milan will earn up to €5m a year more by taking on the partnership with Al Maktoum's Fly Emirates empire.
It's cash that will come in handy for Berlusconi, who last week bemoaned the fact that he had always fostered grandiose spending at the club, but that had recently slowed down as he tried to create a level playing field on the balance sheet.
As part of the deal, Milan will also fly with their new sponsors to all their away Champions League ties next season.
