Milan's Podolski deal dependent on Huntelaar exit
Vice-president Adriano Galliani says AC Milan will only finance a move for Germany star Lukas Podolski if they can sell striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to a Premier League club.
An impressive World CupĀ has seen Podolski become a potential target for theRossoneri, even though Ronaldinho's agent denied on Wednesday that his client was attempting to move to Flamengo.
The two players do operate in a similar position but Podolski can also function as a conventional forward, making his versatility an attractive proposition for the Italian club.
However, a deal will not be done with Cologne unless Milan can recoup some money by offloading striker Huntelaar to England.
Galliani toldĀ Sky Sport 24: "Podolski will arrive only if one condition is met and that is the transfer of Huntelaar to the (English) Premier League, which would then open a few paths from a financial standpoint."
Podolski has an impressive track record at international level but scored only three goals in the Bundesliga last season and has struggled to make the expected impact at club level.
