Thiago Silva rejects Real Madrid interest

AC Milan defender Thiago Silva has rejected rumours linking him with Real Madrid.

Silva has also been paired with Chelsea, but insists he sees his future with the Rossoneri.

“I don’t have any intention of leaving Milan right now,” said the South American. “I’m very happy, I’ve adapted well to life in Italy and I hope to have an excellent season.”

Although the international has pledged his immediate future to his current club, he admits that he was pleased to have been courted by Real.

“It is an honour to know that one of the best clubs in the world are interested in me,” he continued.

“As is the fact that Jose Mourinho, one of the best Coaches in the world, also likes me.”
