 Milan Interested In Borussia Dortmund Striker Lucas Barrios

AC Milan are keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund'sParaguayan hitman Lucas Barrios, news daily Bild claims.

The Rossoneri are understood to be in the market for a new goalscorer after growing disappointed with the contribution of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, whom they signed from Real Madrid last summer.

Edin Dzeko of Wolfsburg was reportedly the highest name on Milan's shortlist, but the Serie A side have decided against following up on their interest in the Bosnian after learning of his €40m price-tag.

Barrios, 25, joined Borussia last summer from Colo-Colo for €4.2 million, and made an instant impact in his first season in Europe, netting 19 goals in the Bundesliga to finish as the third top-scorer in the league championship.

He is currently with Paraguay's squad for the World Cup, where he hopes to claim an influential role with his side after bagging three goals in his first three appearances for the country.

Reports in Germany claim that Borussia Dortmund will only allow the Argentine-born striker, who was granted Paraguayan citizenship last month, to leave for a fee of €30 million.
