Allegri Confident He Can Build A Winning Side
AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has said he has time to build a winning squad, but Silvio Berlusconi's patience is likely to be tested if results don't come quickly.
Allegri signed a two-year contract until June 30, 2012 and he will earn a reported €1.5 million per annum for the duration of his stay after rescinding his contract with Cagliari.
The next step is to gather his toolbox together and hammer out a quality squad.
"I am very happy for this day," he told the press.
"It has been a long month, but I am happy. Now we have all the time to prepare for the new season."
Marco Amelia, who arrived on Wednesday on a season-long loan from Genoa, shares a common view with the coach.
"I think Milan can aim for big objectives," the goalkeeper told Sportitalia.
"We cannot always endure a victory drought."
