Barca want to replace Toure with Milan’s WC winner
After rumors about Martin Caceres, Alyaksandr Hleb and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in recent days, the names AC Milan and FC Barcelona have been mentioned in the same breath once again.
It now appears that L’equip blaugrana are interested in Milan playmaker Pirlo, as a replacement to Yaya Toure, who is leaving the Spain Champions this summer in favour of a reunion with his brother Kolo at Manchester City.
This is a quite odd choice by Barcelona as Toure is a defensive midfielder while the 2006 Italian World Cup winner is a lying deep-playmaker, who does the work of Xavi and Andres Iniesta.
Barcelona Coach Pep Guardiola is well-known as a huge admirer of Pirlo.
An arrival of the two-times Champions League winner would add experience to the young Barcelona team.
