Milan are hopeful an €8 million bid will help them break through Barcelona barriers for Martin Caceres.
Il Corriere dello Sport reports Milan are focusing their interest on the Uruguayan international, but the Blaugrana's initial €11m demand appeared to have quelled their penchant.
However, the Rossoneri are likely to use Barcelona's need to sell to their advantage, meaning a quick discounted deal could emerge as Caceres is not seen as part of club plans at Camp Nou.
The Catalan giants are reluctant to loan him out after doing that with Juventus last year, and they are only open to a permanent sale.
With that in mind, the Rossoneri could ask for a discount to conclude a deal that would suit both clubs. Milan save on the transfer fee, Barcelona sell their man.
