Onyewu explains offering to play for AC Milan for nothing
Oguchi Onyewu has explained why he offered to play for AC Milan for nothing next season.
The 28-year-old suffered a serious knee injury during his first season at San Siro and rarely played.
He told Gazzetta dello Sport: “Honestly, it seemed to me like a natural thing. For me, it was an unfortunate season, but I have a lot of desire to learn and I hope that this will help me when I return to Italy.
“Galliani has been very close to me. I wanted to repay them for their affection. It's true that Milan is like a family. I arrived last year and I soon felt accepted and welcome. I never felt like an outsider.”
