AC Milan coach Leonardo admits: We struggled

AC Milan coach Leonardo attempted to put a positive spin on their 1-0 defeat to Parma last night.

On-loan Manchester City striker Valeri Bojinov struck an 89th minute winner for Parma.

"We're on level terms with Roma now and you can see they are a team in great shape. They have talent and the good fortune to have many players on form at the same time,” said Leonardo.

“Tonight we played a first half below par and struggled a great deal to emerge from Parma's pressure. Even when we had the ball, we didn't quite have a clear idea what to do with it.

“After the break we were hungrier and created some great chances. We thought of a different performance, as the idea was to pass the ball around and reach the box with the ball to feet.

“We were unable to do it, as we weren't very sharp and struggled this evening.”
