AC Milan coach Leonardo insists Napoli draw no setback

AC Milan coach Leonardo insists their 1-1 draw at home to Napoli is no title setback.

Milan missed the chance to go clear at the top and now remain in second-place behind Inter.

Leonardo argued: "We pushed hard and always looked for the victory, going very close. To win the Scudetto we need many things.

“The team again showed it was competitive against a side of great quality and pace. You can win or draw, but I don't think today was going to decide the title.

“I think it is an anomalous campaign. For a long time Inter have been consistently at the top. Milan are bursting back in with the desire to battle and great character. There is a lot of talent in the side, but we often push beyond that with our grit.

“Roma had a fantastic run to get back into the running and are now trying to maintain that level to stay up there. Inter remain the favourites, because they are still in front.”
