Milan Target Massimiliano Allegri In Talks With Silvio Berlusconi
Milan are to chair fresh talks with former Cagliari coach Massimiliano Allegri, and he is expected to meet club patron Silvio Berlusconi today.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Allegri, who was given a glowing reference by Adriano Galliani on Thursday, is top of the list of names for the Rossoneri coaching role.
He is expected at Berlusconi's Arcore residence alongside Galliani where both chiefs will present him with their project and details relevant to the role.
Galliani has a penchant for Allegri. He tried to open dialogue with him last year when Ancelotti left forChelsea, but the move never took shape. It is said captain Massimo Ambrosini has also given the coach the nod.
Berlusconi wants to see offensive, spectacular football, and Allegri's 4-3-1-2 style offers plenty of scope for flair.
Filippo Galli is the alternative if Milan fail to approve the Allegri move.
