We would have won the Scudetto if I coached AC Milan
AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi believes that the Rossoneri would have won the Scudetto had he been coaching the squad this past season.
Berlusconi affirms that the Diavoli wouldn't have wrapped the season up on the last day like Inter, but would have done it with a few matches to spare, and with a five to six point gap.
"It is the team I love, and therefore I am their number one supporter," the Italian prime minister told La Gazzetta Dello Sport. "But despite all the injuries, had I been the coach, we would have won the Scudetto with a 5-6 point gap.
Milan finished the season in third position, on 70 points. At one stage, the side was challenging for top place in the league, before fading away in the latter part of the season, to finish 12 points behind champions Inter.
Leonardo left the Rossoneri by mutual consent at the end of the season, and the hunt has begun to find his successor.
