Nesta Will Leave Milan At The End Of The Season
Alessandro Nesta may leave Milan at the end of term, says team-mate Thiago Silva.
Reports have suggested Nesta will call time on his career, or possibly join another team once his contract at Milan expires on June 30.
And the feeling within the Milan camp is that Nesta will decided to depart.
"I am sorry for Nesta because I think this will be his last season here," Thiago Silva told Sportitalia.
"I will be very sorry if he leaves us."
The Brazilian defender has been outstanding this season, and he wants longevity to take priority for his Milan ambitions.
"I want to play here until I am 40, just like Paolo Maldini," he added.
Meanwhile Gennaro Gattuso can see a cloud of difficulty gathering above Milanello following a healthy period of productivity thus far.
"Now things will become hard because all the teams we face will want to give 100 per cent against the league leaders," the midfielder told Milan Channel.
