Milan Confirm Alexandre Pato & Massimo Ambrosini Will Be Out For Up To Three Weeks With Injuries

Milan have confirmed Alexandre Pato and Massimo Ambrosini will be out for up to three weeks after sustaining injuries against Auxerre. The upshot means both men are likely to miss the trip to Lazio, as well as the away Champions League clash with Ajax in a fortnight's time.

A statement on the club's official website reads:

"Doctor Gianluca Melegati, responsible for Milan's medical sector communicates that the players Massimo Ambrosini and Alexandre Pato underwent examinations this morning.

"The Rossoneri captain has suffered a distraction of the knee cap in his left leg, but there was no ligament damage. His recovery time is around three weeks.

"The exams on Pato showed a strain of the fibres along his adductor muscle of the left leg. He is expected to observe a recovery period of two to three weeks."

That leaves Robinho with a chance to get some playing time in place of the Brazilian striker.
