Milan Defender Thiago Silva Could Miss Auxerre Champions League Clash With Injury

Thiago Silva is likely to be ruled out of Milan's Champions League fixture against Auxerre on Wednesday with injury.

The club's official website have confirmed he suffered a muscular strain in his right leg against Cesena on Saturday. He is likely to have further tests on Monday.

But Milannews.it claims he will not make the squad, leaving Daniele Bonera to take his place alongside Alessandro Nesta, who is fully fit.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos looked shaky against Cesena and is likely to be dropped. He was at fault for Erjon Bogdani's first goal for the home side.

Mario Yepes is available for selection, but coach Massimiliano Allegri will put his trust in Bonera.
