Milan prepare raid for Frenchman

The market has closed few days ago, and Milan are already preparing the winter market, as according to reports, they will make an offer for A.S. Roma central defender Philippe Mexes.

Despite reports on renewal, the 28-year-old Frenchman has casted doubt over his future with the Giallorossi following the signing of Nicolás Burdisso from Inter.

AC Milan are looking for a replacement for the ageing Alessandro Nesta, and it is believed that Mexes has the skills to replace the 2006 World Cup winner alongside Thiago Silva.

Roma and Milan have great relationship following Milan’s “gift” to the Lupi (the loan of Marco Borriello) and while they don’t want to lose the player on a free transfer in the summer, they could accept Milan’s offer.
